The Position:

The Emergency Training and Systematization Coordinator is located in UNFPA Country Office, and has the key role of integration of methodological aspects of Training of trainers in GBV and SRH, as well as systematization of good practices and significant experiences to replicate successful models of implementation.

You will report directly to the Head of the Office.

The Emergency Training and Systematization Coordinator maintains collaborative relationships with all programme and project staff at the CO, and operations staff as well. Internal contacts include the Head of Office and the CO's programme/ technical team and the team of facilitators of GBV and SRH in coordination with Emergency National Managers of SRH and GBV.  External contacts include other UN agencies in country and counterparts in Country programme activities.

Job Purpose:

The Emergency Training and Systematization Coordinator, will provide support in the execution of development and humanitarian aid programs, for the strengthening of planning, implementation and monitoring processes of SRH y GBV contents of facilitation, as well as technical assistance for the systematization of the diverse experiences that are developed by the CO in all the thematic axes that make up its work agenda.

 

You would be responsible for:

The Emergency Training and Systematization Coordinator has roles in both the  Humanitarian Aid program and the regular cooperation program since the emergency in the country is the results of accumulated problems of development.

In the framework of the Humanitarian Response Plan:

  • Strengthen the planned SRH and GBV training plan, which includes updating the programs, methodologies, schedules, agendas, facilitators, support materials and evaluation strategy.
  • Organize on time, accurate,  consistency , complete and successful training programmes.
  • Guide and suggest procedures, methodologies and styles to the facilitators of the training.
  • Supervise and coordinate the development and timely delivery of support materials such as guides, presentations, knowledge assessment tests, etc.
  • Monitoring of the training processes. Coordination of lists of participants and reports with the support of local SRH and GBV coordinators.
  • Evaluate the outcome of training programmes.

 

  • Provide technical assistance for the systematization of the humanitarian project.

In the framework of the development programme:

  • Provide support to the development and implementation of the Plan of prevention of adolescent pregnancy and its monitoring strategy.
  • Accompany the monthly follow-up meetings to the Plan of prevention of adolescent pregnancy and generate the respective monthly progress reports.
  • Support the preparation of final reports on the results of the Plan of prevention of adolescent pregnancy.
  • Accompany advocacy processes with key institutions in relation to the design and validation of the Youth Plan.
  • Provide technical and methodological assistance in the phases of operationalization and validation of public policies and national or sectorial plans.
  • Provide technical assistance for the systematization of other experiences valuables for  the office.
  • Develop additional actions related to its functions when  required by UNFPA CO

Qualifications and Experience

Education: 

  • University Degree and Master in social sciences.

 

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience in facilitation processes and methodologies for the documentation of experiences in some of the areas of interest of UNFPA, such as Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender Equality, Sexual and Reproductive Rights, Gender-Based Violence, Pregnancy Prevention in Adolescents, Youth and population dynamics.

 

Languages:

Fluency in oral and written Spanish and English; knowledge of other official UN languages, is desirable.
